Invitation to Provide Invocations at a Forsyth County Board of Commissioners’ Meeting

The religious leaders or chosen leaders of any assembly that periodically and regularly meet in Forsyth County for the purpose of worshiping or discussing their religious perspectives are invited to offer an invocation at a meeting of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners.

Those interested may submit their information at https://forsyth.cc/Commissioners/invocations.aspx, by contacting the Clerk to the Board at 336-703-2020 or sloopam@forsyth.cc. Please provide your name, phone number and assembly location if submitting a request by email.

Invocations may be delivered in person or virtually. The Board meets at 2:00 p.m. on Thursdays and the full 2022 meeting schedule can be found at https://www.co.forsyth.nc.us/Commissioners/meeting_schedule.aspx

This opportunity is voluntary, and speakers are free to offer an invocation according to the principles of their own conscience. The Board requests that the prayer opportunity not be exploited as an effort to convert others to the particular faith of the invocational speaker, threaten damnation, nor to disparage any faith or belief different than that of the invocational speaker.
