The Summer Reading Kickoff event is this Friday, June 7, at 6:30 p.m. in Central Library. Experience what it's like to make ice cream in a bag, control a robot from afar, and gaze at the stars to spot the constellations and learn what they can tell you about the universe. You'll also have a chance to see real moon rocks brought by a NASA Ambassador. A number of NASA Ambassadors will be leading programs throughout the summer at many branches. Have fun working with lightsabers, creating works of art with solar system necklaces and race with your own origami spaceships. This event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.
