The Winston-Salem Foundation is conducting an extensive study of how Forsyth County residents get local information. The environmental scan of the local information ecosystem will assess all of the different ways in which people are currently getting the local information they need to be active members of their communities and to productively live their lives.
One component of the environmental scan is to gather information sources from the community-at-large. Click here to access a brief survey. The survey will remain online until Monday, November 15.
The Foundation will utilize the results of the environmental scan to develop priorities for project funding that will build upon and enhance the existing Forsyth County information ecosystem. It is the Foundation’s intent to submit a project or projects for a matching grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation’s Community Information Challenge in the spring of 2011.
